To Do #5. {Cafes} Cafe Grumpy

I am a firm believer in the idea that the simple pleasures are what makes life so worthwhile. And one
of those pleasures is a good cup of coffee.

I stumbled into a cute little coffee shop in Chelsea years ago and am still in love with it: Cafe Grumpy. Check out all their locations (Chelsea, Lower East Side, Park Slope, Greenpoint)

This cafe offers you exactly the opposite of what the name suggests. A cup of joy. Take a sip and you'll find your grumpy frown turned upside down (sorry, if that was a bit cheesy). On top of great coffee (and did I mention they have an amazing hot chocolate that will just melt you away?!), you will experience friendly service and love the comfortable and pleasant atmosphere. It's a great place to meet with friends, read a book, or simply relax.

I love the beautiful artwork on the lattes and cappuccinos. What's more impressive is no matter how many sips you take, the design does not lose its shape. Now, that's a good cup of coffee!

To Do: #2. {Art} Grounds for Sculpture

I am still in shock at the impact of hurrican sandy. My heart goes out to all those affected by the storm.

I feel like most of us were totally caught off guard. This was especially the case for me and my family because we rode out hurricane irene last year without much difficulty. After over two weeks without power, water, or gas in my apartment and too apologetic to continue to crash at a friend's place, I needed to go away somewhere to get a breath of fresh air. I found myself at GROUNDS FOR SCULPTURE in New Jersey. It was an incredible place that allowed its guests to interact with art. There were miles of land filled with innovative and thought-provoking sculptures and cool exhibits.

To Do: #1. {Food} Search for the best froyo

I am seriously addicted to frozen yogurt. So, I have been on a continuous search for the best froyo. So far I have tried many, but I have found two very promising candidates: 1. Yogorino and 2. Forty Carrots. These two frozen treats are just the right amount of tart and creamy.

Yogorino

Forty Carrots in Blooomingdales
